Our Manhattan trained psychiatrists, Drs. Linda Chuang, Michael Magera, and Kaiping Wang founded Hudson Psychiatric Associates in an effort to integrate diverse clinical interests and provide the New York metropolitan area with comprehensive, empirically validated psychiatric services. They utilize their medical education and psychotherapy training to arrive at a multidimensional understanding of patients, one that integrates the biological, developmental, and social contributions to their psychological distress. They emphasize the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance and encourage patients to actively participate in formulating individualized treatment goals.
They commonly treat anxiety and depressive disorders, such as major depression or panic disorder, attention deficit disorder (ADHD/ADD), bipolar disorder, and mood disorders associated with general medical conditions and pregnancy, such as perinatal and postpartum depression. Many of their patients also seek help with managing major life transitions and achieving a higher degree of satisfaction in their personal and professional lives. Prominent aspects of the practice include Dr. Chuang’s specialty in women’s mental health, Dr. Magera's guidance for couples in distress, and Dr. Wang’s expertise in treating children and adolescents. They are commited to fostering the emotional well-being of patients and to provide them with a unique opportunity to lead more fulfilling lives and enhance overall life satisfaction.
